We have carried out a single trial with the Humic substance product called Humic stars from Nayveli Lignite Corporation & NRDC) in our tunnel greenhouse of a trial area of 1053 m2 area with 2700 plants (So the treated area is 39m x 9m with 351m2 with 900 plants). The product was given with 2 treatments as

A basal application through irrigation water 3 days after transplanting the plants. A foliar spray about 15 days just the flowering time. The following were the results and discussion The Cucumber crop was transplanted on 08/08/2017

The Humic Stars was used in 6 lines with 150 plants in each line. The other 1800 plants in the greenhouse were used as control plants. All the other fertilizer and plant protection methods remained same for the 2700 plants in the greenhouse and the difference was only the Humic stars which we used on the 6 lines with 900 plants total.

The Humic star was used 900 ml/1053 m2 through irrigation water for 15 minutes. This was done on 11/08/2017 3 days after transplanting. For foliar application, Humic star was used 250ml/100 L water. This was done on 23/08/2017 which was 15 days after transplanting.

The harvested produce was separately weighed and recorded. Following was the total harvested produce from the trial The total harvested product from the 900 treated plants were 365 boxes of 10 kg each with a total of 3650 Kg. (10.4kg/m2) The total harvested produce from 1800 plants of control plot was 666 boxes of 10 Kg each with a total of 6660 kg. (9.49kg/m2)

The treated area with Humic stars has given us a increase in yield of 0.910 kg/m2. The trial was only done once. But we are happy with the product and would like to use the product commercially. We wish the team best luck.
